Through the Arched Window
Okay – another little puzzle today, courtesy of Stephen. It took me a little while to work out where it is – and I confess the acorns and portcullis don’t help too much…
If no one gets it, I’ll post another clue at lunchtime…
Okay – see if you can tell which one of you’s right from this:

I don’t recognise it – which is unusual. But the smaller picture is definitely the English Heritage logo, so it has to be… Ranger’s House?
I’m guessing the gate through the Park wall into the little walled garden to the southeast of Ranger’s House?
Hmm. I reckon a little down the hill from there – entry to the park by the Macartney house?
Yep – I agree that its the entry to the park off Crooms Hill by the Macartney house? Somewhere I didnt even know existed until my mum showed me at the start of the Summer!
Entrance to the park at the top of Crooms Hill, near The White House ?
Ker-ching! That is, without a shadow of a doubt, the Rose Garden and the summer-dwelt bench! What’s my prize?
An all-round feeling of smugness…
Of course – the portculis for EH, the acorns for Royal Parks…
Well done Franklin. TGP I should have realised it is the EH emblem because I was a member for five years and still wear their caps.
Phant –
You seem to have picked up an advertising “commenter” in ‘Resources’. Watch out – greenwich.co.uk has become infected by these web-lice of late…
Thanks Franklin – dealt with.
