Hi, my niece who lives in Greenwich drew my attention to 'The Phantom' view of my book 'Mean Times in Greenwich' which pleased me no end! I'm delighted that someone so much younger got pleasure from it. I've still got some copies left if anyone's interested and would be happy to send you 'I never saw my father nude'too...although I've only got a couple left. You've made an old man very happy....and what a great blog!

This book is one of my uncle Dan's. I love his work, which is mostly based on real life, especially his wartime childhood - though he has done a fantastic series of bible scenes where God looks remarkably similar to my grandad. My mum, his sister Mim, features in the book - she's now at Cullum Welch court in Morden College. Dan's 80 now, hale (ish) and hearty, living in Kent and still drawing, writing poems and being amusingly irascible. The internet drives him bonkers, but I'll make sure he knows your appreciation. By the way, when it was published I took a copy of 'Mean Times' to the little bookshop that used to be in the middle of Blackheath Village as I thought they'd like to stock it, but they said they had more than enough books about local history. More fool them. I'll see if I can get a copy of 'I never saw my father nude' for you.
