Pussycat, Pussycat, where have you been?

Meet Pip, a British Blue cat who lives in Greenwich South Street. Her human, Maureen, hasn’t seen her since the 22nd May and is getting very worried about her. It’s possible she’s gone up to London to see the Queen, but more likely that she’s found her way into a garden shed whose door’s been left open in this heat and got stuck in there. If you live around West Greenwich, would you take a peek in your garage, shed, lock-up etc and see if there’s a rather sheepish (probably hungry) moggy trapped inside?

I know, this should really be going in the Parish News, but I have a bit of a thing for pussycats and hey – my blog, my rules.

If you do find Pip, do drop me a line; I’ll be only too delighted to pass you on to Maureen who will love you forever.

One thing to note – just to confuse things there is another British Blue who lives on South Street, somewhere around the almshouses.

I actually saw this cat (or one remarkably similar) on Thursday or Friday last week as I was walking down GSS. It was sat in the John Penn & Widow Smith Alms Houses lawn just near the front wall by the pavement opposite the baptist church. I remember it because I was admiring its lovely colouring which is why it springs to mind. It was sitting staring rather transfixed on the wall which was a bit odd and I couldnt get its attention.

If when you are checking those sheds you don’t find Pip, but you DO find a mostly black cat with white markings on the face – please also shout. I have a very worried neighbour who has lost hers in the area too.

I think Rob at greenwich.co.uk has catnapped her. Well, I don’t really, but his beautiful puss that he tweeted a pic of today looks v similar. I hope Pip turns up soon, losing a cat is so sad.

Could there be a Greenwich Phantom “Cutest Cat in SE10″ competition? A couple of quid to enter and proceeds to a good cat-related cause? My lovely Purrs would be a dead cert to win.

Has this cat been found yet?

If not then I am pretty sure I saw it (or one VERY similar) outside 1 Maidenstone Hill yesterday afternoon…around 3.45pm.

    Good luck!
