Christmas Greetings
Fourth in a short series of turn-of-the-20th-Century Greenwich Christmas postcards from the Phantom Collection.
I’ve chosen this one as my Actual The Day card because it amuses me that it’s just a bog-standard postcard that’s had a greeting hurriedly plonked on it, presumably by some local printer to meet the Christmas rush. I know the feeling…
I’ll not be around much (if at all) for the next week or so, so for now, have a happy one, folks…

Happy Christmas Dear Phantom – bringer together of unknown relations – from a wet and windy Wales.
Happy Christmas Phantom. Thank you for keeping us informed, educated and entertained for another year. Enjoy your well deserved break!
Happy Christmas Phantom! Having moved to Greenwich a month ago, your blog has long been a very interest read and I am finally enjoying exploring some of the sites you have talked about!
Merry Christmas, from an unseasonally balmy Canada!
Had an interesting(!) Xmas, sadly away from SE10, but with family which can only be right. Happy X and NY, TGP and all! S
That is similar to the view that I had as a child, more than 50 years ago, but mine had more dockyard cranes. When I visit Greenwich now, I still get a surprise at the view of Canary Wharf, no matter how many times I look.
Seasons Greetings to The Phantom and all his followers !
