Positive Thinking

Methers and I have been discussing what the hell all these signs are. They’re popping up all around East Greenwich. Generally positive, they look like little quotes that have been blown up and turned into art – not a million miles from the concept around Creature Comforts.

Could it be some new developer starting a campaign to sell a bunch of new-builds?

Nah. Developers just aren’t that imaginative. You only have to look at the projected Heart of East Greenwich to see that (though frankly I’ll just settle for something – anything – happening there now.)

Could it be an estate agent, with similar aspirations?

I doubt it. What estate agent wants people to stay put for fifteen years?

Oooh – that’s a bit funky. Perhaps it’s the Olympic Cultural Corridor (yes, I know…)

But hold on – Alice took this which, though I am sure is what the OCC is all about, is hardly something they’d advertise:

Actually, as I was writing this, Methers found the solution (I love it when my work’s done for me…) It’s the latest project from Stream Arts, based in the very lovely Rothbury Hall. Shame I missed the walk. Ah, well.

Hooray for art.
