I’m sure there will be a lot of pictures of poppies today, but I wanted to share with you something I saw a month or so ago. There is no note, no inkling as to who created this, or for whom it is for.

I’m glad it’s raining – to hide the tears in my eyes.
One of the most profound lines from a film;-
Terminator 2 – John Connor asks/tells Terminator while watching some kids play with toy guns “We are not going to make it, are we?”
Terminator replies “Its in your nature to destroy yourself.”
How very true!!!!!
This morning I came across a small service attended by around 40 or so people by the large riverside gates (Their name eludes me) in the ORNC and at 11:00 the last post was played followed by the 2min silence.
It was a pity that the students who were walking around the grounds didn’t show better respect than they did, after all 2mins isn’t a lot to ask considering what others have sacrificed so they can take advantage of a university education.
That picture manages to be anachronistic and hopelessly sentimental. And yet, in spite of that, it’s still deeply touching.
Yes – I guess you write your own story around it.
Dave 48, it was the same where I work. I actually had to go and stand quietly in the stairwell to observe the silence it as many of my colleagues jabbered on regardless.
A sad photo GP. I wonder if the Teddy is still there.
I am pleased to say a floor of 450 people went completely silent at my shop.
our office too fell silent at 11 when I rang the alarms to signify the start and end of the two minutes, apart from one gent who turned to talk to his companion, uttered two words, then obviously realised and went quiet, certainly a time for reflection.
