Angie McNabs

Leafing through my copy of Meridian this morning, in between trying to work out what was real editorial and what was 'promotions' (it's not as easy to spot as you might think) I found a cheery ad for a new place in town, which sounds lovely.

A nice lady called Angie McNab's invited me to visit her and her 'friends' at their new bar and 'lounge' in Trafalgar Road. She suggests that I enjoy an afternoon with her - or perhaps an early evening. Since the real fun begins just after school leaving time, and it's in Meridian, I'm assuming that its going to be immense fun for all the family.

Perhaps you'd like to join Angie too? Bring your kids* - it's open from 11.00am until 9.00pm...

Meridian is a terrible magazine - as you say its full of useless fluff that has only one aim and it isn't to inform local people of local news.

Clue: £££

Junk mail.

I received a personal invitation from this lady yesterday through the letter box - offering free membership to all it's neighbours.

There was a P.S on the letter, apparently there'll be pole and table dancing after 6pm 2 nights a week. I thought they weren't being allowed to set this club up? Now it seems they're rubbing our faces in it.

I'm really not happy about it. This end of Trafalgar road is bad enough without the proliferation of seedy red-light establishments.

"seedy red-light establishments"? I live about 100 yards away from this place and although I haven't been yet, it looks ok to me. Very discreet.

Looking forward to making this my local (after the Vanbrugh of course)

I too live skipping distance away from this den of aniquities, and haven't yet seen anything to warrant it's condemnation. That said, I haven't been able to go assess the talent yet.

Angie McNabs has pole dancing two nights a week. Its descret to look at. They're very strict with who they let in. It's a rather small club. Everyone leaves at 9 and hardley makes any noise.
I can tell you that I know no 'funny business' of ANY kind is tolerated and the girls strip on poles only. No lap dancing which may I add, any bone head can do. It takes real physical stamina to be a pole dancer.
