Cultural Olympiad
This Saturday and Sunday as part of the Cultural Olympiad (about which I'm not sure how I feel, but that's a discussion for another day) the NMM will host a couple of days of free arts events and workshops. I'd normally put this on the Parish News but since it's a bit late, it's here.
Saturday is Behind the Scenes at the Observatory.
Sunday is the vaguely-titled "Greenwich Lives."

Err sorry Phantom, your link is not linking. It may just be my jurrassic computer though.
BTW no pics on your blog recently, I miss them.
Sorry Benedict.
Evil Blogger had added a www.blogger prefix to the address without my noticing.
You're right. I haven't had any pics for ages. I'll remedy that.
Not sure what your link is supposed to go to - but this isn't just an NMM event

Nope still not opening...with no cash at present, my prospective weekend plans hinge on this
Looks as though Blogger can't bear to have any addresses hyperlinked that don't inlcude blogger.com bits.

is the one I was sent, but check out Anon's address above - looks like there's other stuff going on too.
Worry no more, anonymous. There is a torchlit event starting at the Naval College which finishes up at the Observatory. This link has details.

The World Heritage site website also has events listings for the coming months..so GP can plan ahead too...

There is another event on 5 October. Car Free day is in the town centre and coincides with Run to the Beat, a half marathon which starts and finishes at the 02 and goes through Greenwich. There are bands at strategic points on the course to gee up the runners...
Oh, and by the way - there are also going to be lovely wubbly-lipped furry pretty horseys at the Naval College on Car Free day. Who would never damage the park or anything. Because they're lovely. See? See? Everybody? Aren't they gorgeous? Car Free day is organised by Greenwich council....
Is it just me, or does the helpful as ever Greenwich council website, NOT tell you what date this spectular light thingy is taking place?! The time yes, but the date no.... (and they wonder why no one attends?).
