Really lovely pics
Photoshop's great, isn't it!
Actually neither of these shots have been in photoshop at all. Its called HDR! It stands for High Dynamic Range and it's a photography tecnique!
Oh, OK. I'll check it out.
Great shots all the same...
Interesting images.
Sorry to seem a bit critical- especially as I have not tried HDRI yet and don't yet know how to match the effect.
For my part, I'm not very keen on the telephoto shot as it compresses the view and makes the Lewisham office block, The Princess of Wales and the church on the Heath unnaturally large.
Although I like the wide angle shot much better, to these eyes it would benefit from a bit of post production work in Photoshop to straighten up the church and the large house located to the lower right of the frame- but I expect you know this anyway.
Have you taken anything on a zoom lens set between 40 and 60 mm (assuming you are shooting with a full-frame sensor digital camera)?
Look forward to seeing more of Greg's work.
Wow great pic! I've been looking at getting into a bit more then 'point and click' photography but have been a bit overwhelmed by all the different digital slrs. What type of camera do you use?
Although I do know that its more about who's behind the camera... but the equipments gotta help to some degree.
It would be nice to see one that hasn't been through the HDR mangle so we could see what the sunset actually looked like
Hey, I grew up in Rochester! I guess the place to try to get the sunset would be from Jacksons field or the Art College near Fort Pitt school.
The key would be trying to get as little of Gillingham in view as possible.
