The Phantom Cheers Up

Grumpy Old Phantom has been going through the fantastic photographs you've sent me this afternoon instead of doing Proper Work (naughty me) and came across this. It sort of follows in the same vein as the sign we discussed over the weekend and it made me laugh. You may have to click on it to really enjoy it to the full.

I think the ultimate Scary Neighbour who penned this is in Pelton Road (am I right, B?) Whatever. The Phantom is smiling again...

Better to get it in writing than in person I think!

Is she still at it? We had her in Blackheath years ago. Or maybe it was the older sister!!

The fake sponsorship form must be a "craft" handed down from sibling to sibling. My wife had a kid at her office trying to raise "funds" for his boxing club in Hackney and when she looked at the form all the amounts (in the same hand writing) were for £20 to £50, now that has taken it to a new level, cheeky bugger!

They tend to come 'round in hordes during the school holidays, and I swear they're getting younger (maybe I'm just getting older) - I'd bet my boots that the last lot were no older than seven.

Thatcherite entrepreneurialism in action?

Perhaps we should all sponsor the (sorry TGP) 'phantom' sticker person to add a few more where needed...
