About Me
- Name: The Greenwich Phantom
- Location: Greenwich, London, United Kingdom
Greenwich is one of the coolest "uncool" places there is in London. It's not profoundly unfashionable - rather somewhere where it doesn't occur to people that there is anything more than a few museums, a nice park and the Cutty Sark. The really adventurous might know about the Trafalgar Tavern or venture out to Greenwich market on a Sunday afternoon, but essentially, Greenwich is still relatively undiscovered for one of the great regions of London. I adore Greenwich - but I'm not blind to its faults either. In this journal I take an affectionate but honest - at times brutally so - look, giving my own personal low-down on the things to do - and one or two of the things NOT to do in Greenwich. I am being unashamedly parochial here. I will talk about the tourist sites, of course - how could I not when we have a World Heritage Site on our doorstep - but also about the things which make our town great - the little things. Interesting vistas, cool shops, bizarre novelties and quirky one-offs which make this place buzz. Greetings, by the way, to all of you who have travelled with me from Livejournal - and thank you for making the journey.

Ok - you can see me. Thanks. I'll write something now...
I'd have felt foolish just yabbering into the ether...
I jabber into the ether all the time, mind you it might be the ether thats making me jabber?
woohoo, seems to be working again.
Just so you know - last night when I typed in the url at the top of the page, it brought up a blank front page. When I googled TGP, and clicked on the link to the homepage (i.e. just the url), it brought up a blank front page. However, if I clicked on a link to a historic page (e.g. when I googled TGP+pier), that came up no problem. And when I clicked on "see article" at the bottom of the RSS feed email, it took me to the front page.
I notice that my comment last night has appeared at the end of yesterday's post - strange, because when I posted it, I was returned to a blank front page again. I assumed I was talking to myself and gave up.
Anyway, my words of wisdom re Windies and tips will have to wait, I'm now running late for a meeting!
oh, btw - do I have to change something to get the post timings to show BST, or is it you? At the moment, the way I see the posts, I just posted at 08:20 and I know it's 09:20!
I beleive its the blog not you kirsty that is vehmently staying on.....Greenwich Mean Time.
I quite like it myself I always have a spare hour this way.
Folks - I THINK I've fixed the time thing, but I can't see it on my version. Have I got it right?
yup, BST it is! Well done.
