About Me
- Name: The Greenwich Phantom
- Location: Greenwich, London, United Kingdom
Greenwich is one of the coolest "uncool" places there is in London. It's not profoundly unfashionable - rather somewhere where it doesn't occur to people that there is anything more than a few museums, a nice park and the Cutty Sark. The really adventurous might know about the Trafalgar Tavern or venture out to Greenwich market on a Sunday afternoon, but essentially, Greenwich is still relatively undiscovered for one of the great regions of London. I adore Greenwich - but I'm not blind to its faults either. In this journal I take an affectionate but honest - at times brutally so - look, giving my own personal low-down on the things to do - and one or two of the things NOT to do in Greenwich. I am being unashamedly parochial here. I will talk about the tourist sites, of course - how could I not when we have a World Heritage Site on our doorstep - but also about the things which make our town great - the little things. Interesting vistas, cool shops, bizarre novelties and quirky one-offs which make this place buzz. Greetings, by the way, to all of you who have travelled with me from Livejournal - and thank you for making the journey.

Right , now if I could just get one of the stags from the park to stand in the Queens collanade, with the college and Canary wharf in the background, steam coming out of the stags nose and er snow on the ground, hmm should'nt be too hard........
Nah - I want to see A Toad For All Seasons... a year of Greenwich amphibians.
You know - a toad in an Easter bonnet, a toad with a beach ball, a toad with a witches hat, a toad with antlers...
Now youre talking! I'm really feelin that one man.
You have given me a great idea, will get to work on that over the weekend.
Calendar-Toads - pin ups, every one of them a beauty...
I like it, the Pirelli of the toad world, but with a local twist. Its gonna be hot stuff! Toads in bikinis playing beachball by the front of the college. Sexy smart toad with glasses in front of the observatory. Hot Dutch toad with pigtails outside St Alpheges!
PLEASE Tell me where I can get hold of a copy of this Toad-a-li-cious Calender? I thought I was the only person in the world with an Amphibian fetish!!. Now I know it's not just me........Mind you if you could do one with Squirrels......where's my medication???????? "Nurse, Nurse.....I'll take that cold shower now"
Dazza, Im working on it now. Just doing a fitting for my toads bikini and have fashioned some cat fur into a blonde wig for the Marylin Toadroe shot on the grating in the market. The squirrels agent is still negotiating terms.
Will there be an Easter "bunny-toad"? Cute ears on top and fluffy tail to wiggle? Toad-a-licious!
The Phantom Webmaster has captured some frog-on-frog action for your delight and delectation.

They say there is a website for every perversion. I am sure there is a Toad equivalent somewhere...
I say, thats a bit saucy.
My neighbour found 4 more toads while clearing his garden. Did there used to be a pond anywhere near the station?
I am having trouble getting these toads to dress up and pose, they say its making them feel cheap. But I have another cunning plan!
Just remind them that they are not the ones being exploited by your taking saucy pics of them - they are exploiting us, the viewers...
You know, I thought I could find a toad extra/stunt double agency but there seems to be a gap in the market. So I will just google "rubber toads"..........I cant bear to look!!!!!!
Forget flight paths and helicopters...now we know what that deep buzzing noise over the park really is!
Ah yes, sweet and dandy love music sweetsandruby
Lovely pic. More photos of urban sheep please. I don't have my username for nothing.
Happy Baaaaaaank holiday to ewe, even if it rains. (sorry.....).
