Greenwich Reach Follow Up?

James has nudged me on this one - I confess it had slipped my mind a bit - any one else know anything more?

On 18th July 2007, you posted an article on the new development down at Greenwich Reach. I was wondering whether you, or any of your readers, had learnt of any updates on the project, specifically with regard to the s.106 agreement to build a footbridge across to Millennium Quay and the proposed construction of a Waitrose supermarket. Also, do you have any idea of the timescale of the project?

It slipped your mind after the wars of the last post you made on this?!

The footbridge isn't a s.106. It won't happen. Too many middle class 'its-cool-to-be-salt-of-the-earth' local types didn't bother doing anything about making it happen. :-(

The Waitrose should happen. Basically it's up to them whether they want to come to Greenwich Reach, but their cost-benefit analysis as of now says they want to come.
