Family Pubs
Tiffany asks:
Are there any proper pubs that don't mind a quiet baby in the late afternoons/early evenings?
The Phantom replies:
This isn't really one for me. I really need to hand this over to the parents who will have far more idea of good places...

The Vanbrugh on Vanbrugh hill is a great family place, until 8. After that, their license won't allow children, thanks to whiney neighbours.
The Plume of Feathers is good too - don't know about the licensing details in the evening, but certainly during the day they're really well set up for children, so I'd imagine they'd be OK in the evening. (They have a playroom in the garden which is open from spring to autumn that is great for allowing adults to enjoy their Sunday lunches.)
Also try the Greenwich Union
The Yacht down the laneway next to the Trafalgar. Lovely view of the Thames too...
The Ashburham Arms in Ashburham Grove is a good family pub. There is a small garden at the back with a little play area. The pub itself seems family friendly during the day and if that's not enough there is a play street right outside.
Yes, get a baby sitter you cheapskate - leave screaming little johnny at home - it might be cute to your but no one else.
I go to the pub the get away from the kids...
One to definitely avoid is the Richard on Royal Hill - not kids friendly at all. The Union next door is happy with reasonably well-behaved children all day. Not sure what their cut-off time is, but they're fine with kids.
