Dog Training
Do you or your readers have any advice on whether there are any dog training classes in Greenwich? I'm preparing in advance for the arrival of the retired greyhound we are hoping to rehome at the end of the year!
The Phantom replies:
This is one to throw out to the floor. I haven't a clue, I'm afraid, Lorna, but congratulations on giving one of these sad creatures a home. I hope you have many happy years together...

One of my neighbours used to have a dog (no idea what happened to it) but while I was off work for a week I witnessed the curious comings and goings of a mini-bus; no humans only dog passengers. The driver would collect badly behaved canine and whisk it off for some training. If I see neighbour I shall see if they still have the details....
I cannot recommend Andy Waterhouse of Bark Busters highly enough. An hour with my terror or a terrier and he had us both eating out of his hand. Its not cheap but frankly if it works its worth it. You have to book him through the company 0808 1004071 www.barkbusters.co.uk
Thanks guys - will give Bark Busters a go and I like the sound of a dog-bus!!
Hi Lorna
We have used Bobs Broadbent from www.dogknows.com to help guide us with our excitable Springer (yes I know they are made that way!). Bobs is a member of the puppy school and relies on reward based methods rather than any punishment tehniques.
Wherever you get your training I hope you enjoy the new member of the family. We'll see you in the park!
