Dead Flower Shop

(Not actually a shop selling dead flowers - but you know what I mean...)

Sophie asks:

Do you know what the old flower shop on the corner of South Street and Circus Street is going to be? It has been Under Offer for a couple of weeks.

The Phantom replies:

Sorry Sophie - I have no idea. But I bet someone here does...

If anyone also knows what is going to replace "Pizza Luna" on the high street - I'd love to know! I'm thinking something big and corporate because of the amount of renovation going on...

Ah Lula sounds so beautiful - in Greenwich and concerned with regeneration geekery

Aw - c'mon - aren't we all a bit curious? Frankly parctically anything will be better than Pizza Luna which was probably, if only by a whisker, the second-worst meal I've ever had in Greenwich. An appalling place. I'd obviously rather it wasn't a giant chain of course.

No idea but I walk past it every day and am very curious. I did spy a nice looking deli, next to the Spread Eagle. Anyone been in and checked it out?

The deli is ok, but limited stock.. olive oil, bread and specialty bangers.

I'm hoping they'll widen their range over forthcoming weeks, because at the moment, compared to say, Buenos Aires, it's slightly underwhelming.

One in Tai Won Mein - a meal of such unbelievable inedibility that I never officially wrote about it as i couldn't quite believe that if the food was that bad the joint could stay open for as long as it has. I have meant to go back ever since to have another go before reviewing it, but somehow have never felt much like it - when it actually comes to me stepping inside I find myself looking across the road at lovely Kum Laung beckoning...

I would never forgo a meal at Kum Luang for Tai Won Mein, for any purpose or price. I don't want you to either, not for our sakes, please.
