Ex-chippie

Kratch asks:

I have a question for you: do you happen to know what’s happening to the old fish and chip shop at the bottom of Earlswood Road?

It's intriguing, isn't it... There's definitely something going on, but quite what it is I have no idea. I've not been able to catch the workmen yet - they're usually the best people to ask.

Anyone else know?

Well done, Mr Anon - thanks for the eagle-eye. We're a bit short of Indian restaurants down there, so it will be a welcome addition...

I hear, from the cute guy in the italian deli (God I'm going to miss them), that it's to be a "Bombay Bicycle Club" delivery kitchen, that's a take away in posh. This is great news as not only is it a completely different menu from your usual indian restaurant but they only set up in very salubrious locations. They have nothing as yet in the east so I'm doubting the info a little but hope it's true as I love their food.

I just thought, would you need a liquor license for a take away, as one has been applied for so that may put put pay to my BBC theory.....?

It's good news indeed if it is going to be The Bombay Bicycle Club - they have a high reputation.

I love the Bombay Bicycle club! used to use it all the time when I live over in SW London (sorry someone had to!) and it will be a welcome addition to SE10! Their curries are really yummy and use loads of fresh ingredients.
